One of the newest heroin addiction treatment facilities to emerge in Wisconsin is located in Madison, Wisconsin. It is called The Dr. Kathleen Oriel Suboxone Clinic in Madison. This clinic has received great acclaim from Wisconsin State’s Department of Social Services and has been named a Good Works Alternative Care Organization. In Fiscal Year 2020 the Suboxone Clinic earned accolades for its work in assisting individuals with heroin and other addictions. Over nine hundred clients were served at the clinic. Of those served, over two hundred were new clients.
As one of only a few clinics in the entire country to receive this laudable recognition, Dr. Kathleen Oriel is quite proud of her work. She is a world renowned addiction specialist and holds many national awards for her services to people addicted to heroin, prescription medications, and other addictions. Her many honors include the Outstanding Achievement in Social Work at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), the Outstanding Achievement in Social Service at the National Council on Social Service (NCOS) and the Outstanding Achievement in Mental Health Therapy at the American Psychological Association.
