Dr. Anne Miller is the Director of the Suboxone Clinic in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. She has been doing her job for nearly 10 years. During this period, she has treated many addicted persons and has seen a great success rate with the Clinic. I asked her about this clinic and what would it take to be accepted by Medicaid in Wisconsin.
First off, we must understand that she has a long term addiction treatment program going at her clinic, but she also utilizes other types of programs such as outpatient care, inpatient care, and case management. In the outpatient care program, the patients have been referred by their physician or other healthcare provider. The patient then makes their payment through the Suboxone program from their checking account or credit card. When they receive their medication, they are sent home or go directly to their place of employment or other place of residence where they will be under the supervision of their case manager.
In the inpatient care program, the person will have the primary responsibility of providing their own medication. Their case manager will oversee their care and assist with meeting their needs. Anne was very informative and made me aware of all my options when I was looking for an alcohol and substance abuse treatment program. I would definitely recommend that you speak with her regarding this matter.
