Artwork

After a superb and criminally overlooked debut album, New Jersey power pop merchants Copperpot give us a taster of what can be expected on the follow up this fall. Continuing where the debut left off, this e.p maybe short but it’s exquisitely sweet featuring 4 short sharp songs of melodic pop. Reminiscent of New York kissing cousins The Crash Moderns and carried along by the vocals of main songwriter Jarret Randazzo, songs like the ‘Girl Next Door’ and ‘Scared’ have more hooks than a school cloakroom, whilst the ballad ‘Lay me Down’ is an interesting counterpoint on an e.p that is well worth the effort and provides an adequate stop gap whilst we wait for the highly anticipated album number two. Download at itunes.
