Trust Company

True Parallels
Artwork

The belated follow up to 2002’s ‘Lonely Position of Neutral’ sees Trust Company, treading familiar territory, albeit with a greater degree of consistency. Huge harmonised choruses occupy the gaps between the thunderous “nu” metal guitar swathes, to produce a record that matches crunch with melody. Akin to prime time Linkin Park minus the rap and screamo annoyances, tracks like the single ‘Stronger’, ‘The War is Over’ and ‘Fold’ capture the essence of Trust Company, whilst Howard Benson and Don Gilmore’s production lends a more sympathetic hand to the gentler moments like ‘Silently’ or ‘Without a Trace’. Given the necessary push by Geffen this could be huge; however this will largely depend on where their priorities lie within the current roster.
