Paramore singer Hayley Williams recently shared an acoustic cover of Björk’s “Unison,” a track from Vespertine, on social media. The visual, which is in black-and-white, shows Williams sitting on a couch and singing, “I thrive best/hermit style / With a beard and a pipe / and a parrot on each side / but now I can’t do this without you.” “Someone asked me to do a Björk song a while back,” she wrote in her post. “I’d actually hoped to cover a different song of hers live this year but I guess that will have to wait until some other time…anyway, this one has to be in my top five — ‘Unison.’ Apologies for the crudely casual rendition.” The fan who requested the song from Williams, commented “IT WAS ME I ASKED OMG THANK YOU I LOVE IT UNISON OMG VESPERTINE RIGHTS.” Artists including Maggie Rogers and Lauren Jauregui praised Williams’ acoustic version. The “Alaska” singer wrote “this ended me” to which Williams responded, “dont be ended we need u!” Rogers then came out with a correction, “****this made my morning !!!!!” Williams released her solo debut album Petals for Armor in May. someone asked me to do a @bjork song a while back. i’d actually hoped to cover a different song of hers live this year but i guess that will have to wait until some other time… anyway, this one has to be in my top 5 – “Unison”. apologies for the crudely casual rendition. gnite! pic.twitter.com/fUDMUeOwR0— hayley from Paramore (@yelyahwilliams) July 16, 2020 Copyright(c) 2020 RTTNews.com.
