We did a campaign with ReverbNation to discover some great independent music on the platform recently. There were thousands and thousands of submissions for the campaign and we went through every single one and came up with our top 10.


We did a campaign with ReverbNation to discover some great independent music on the platform recently. There were thousands and thousands of submissions for the campaign and we went through every single one. We came up with ten of our favorites and featured the artists as Indie Songs of the Day on the site and to put a bow on things and finish it, here's a wrap up of the ten artists with music and links.

1. New Age affair
New Age Affair
New Age Affair was formed by two brothers - Derek and Gage Flick. They started in 2017 and they released their first EP that year called "Reset." They'd go through lineup changes but their most recent release came in 2018 when they went to New York to record their double single "The Otherside" with Mark McClusky. Next up for New Age Affair: they're hard at work on their first full-length album set for 2019.



2. Best Not Broken
New Age Affair
Best Not Broken draws from a variety of genres and songwriting styles. Their music features thoughtful and sometimes amusing lyrics. They've worked with Boston producer David Minehan and they've steadily built up an audience in the Boston area since they started in 2018. Best Not Broken is Eric Jackson, Mark Oswald, Carlo Carluccio, Anand Shah, and Brian Eyberg. Their latest release is a single called "Red Flags."



3. Silent Hearts
Silent Hearts
From Ohio, the group started in 2017 and the members of the band have a wealth of experience in different aspects of the music business, bands, touring, and production. The band's main goal according to their bio is to "instill hope for the hopeless, and be a voice for the voiceless.' Silent Hearts is: David Guest on guitar, Dylan Kendrick on guitar, Mike Drum on drums, Ben Pusateri on vocals, and David Dixon on bass.



4. Schmoolio
Schmoolio
Out of Wisconsin, Schmoolio says they have an earnest take on 2000's pop-punk and we'd have to agree. Their latest EP is called Level Up and they're currently promoting it around their hometown of Madison.

5. After The Calm
After The Calm
AZ rock act After The Calm as been around since 2014 when friends Kody Rattler, David Nunez, and Henry Cota Jr. started jamming out during a living room session. They were joined by Jonathan Habermacher later on and they'd eventually find Logan Miracle as their lead vocalist. The band lists influences as System of a Down and Blink-182 and everything in between though they've drawn comparisons to A Day To Remember and Four Year Strong. They'll be working on new music in 2019 with the hopes of putting out something soon.



6. Alto Key
Alto Key
Alto Key is a London-based indie singer/songwriter with a piano driven, signature sound. Alto started making music under the moniker in 2018 and has been steadily growing an audience since. He recently released a new EP called Seas Unknown.



7. InAir
InAir
InAir is from Reading and made up of Joe Conneely, Aaron Iley, and Connor Shortt. The band's focus is on atmospheric synths contrasting by raucous guitars. They kind of remind us of a modern UK version of Chevelle. Their latest single is called "Chemical" and it's an indicator of bigger things to come for this trio.



8. Ed Allison
Ed Allison
Ed is an emo/pop punk singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist drawing influence from bands like Motion City Soundtrack and The Wonder Years. He puts everything has into his music. You can hear the emotion pouring out of the speakers. His vocal is intense, his guitar has personality and his music has ehart.



9. Three Guests
Three Guests
Made up of Jordan Rys on vocals and Noah Devore on keyboard, Three Guests has been steadily building an audience for the past couple of years, in 2018 they released two EPs - Sunset Lane and it's predecessor 3G, so far in 2019 they've released one single - their new track, "Myself."

10. House of Rejects
House of Rejects
Missouri alt rock duo House of Rejects is a duo made up of Chance Woolsey and Rickey Rauch. They have a giant sound that's incredibly impressive. That's showcased on the band's debut EP, Fiction and best exemplified on the title track from that EP.
