AA: Welcome Sunday Ave! So happy we could chat today. We know you have an EP out White Noise, do you have plans to go on tour?
SA: Right now we’re setting up as many shows as possible around New England to get our music out there. Whether you call that a tour or not is up to you, but it’s definitely gonna be a great string of concerts for us and hopefully will help us a lot to get our name out there as the music gains more recognition.
AA: Speaking of tour, what is your favorite part of being on the road and your least favorite part?
SA: We’re all still full-time students so there’s only so much free time we get to spend playing out, but we’re about to hit a pretty decent amount of venues in the next few months and it’s just been great to have the opportunity of playing as much of our own music as possible. The only thing that isn’t great about it is not getting to play a show every night.
AA: When you pack up for a gig what do you take along?
SA: Our set up is pretty simple, we’re a alt rock trio of drums bass and guitar so most of what you’d see when we pack up is just all our amps and speakers and stuff. Once we’ve got all our equipment packed up, we keep it pretty simple. It’s always important to have a good album to turn up on the drive between shows, and an extra guitar or two so we can put some songs together on our off time.
AA: Tell us one thing you wish you knew when you were younger?
SA: To be honest, we’re at the stage right now where in ten years we’re probably gonna regret everything we’ve done up to this point, so maybe we don’t get to say we know anything at all yet. But for now we’re just making all the mistakes we can and trying to learn what we can for the future.
AA: Where do you see yourself as a band in the next 5 years?
SA: In five years, we’ll have a pretty deep catalogue of independent EPs and singles and our first major release will certainly be out. By that time, we’ll either be in the middle of our first national tour or done with it and working on our next album. Wherever we are at that point, our following is only getting bigger and the venues we play are doing the same. That’s really the best thing about being a part of a group like this, when we’re all this determined and passionate about what we’re creating the sky is the limit.
AA: What has been your favorite song you have released and why?
SA: When we hit the studio to record our EP called White Noise, we really captured something special with Autopilot, the opening track. Its big, emotional, and it carries a lot of the excitement and power that we bring to every show. We can’t wait to top it with our next release.
AA: Where can we find you on IG?
SA: You can find us on instagram at @sundayaveofficial. We announce every show and post new material there all the time, so if you’re looking to keep up with us that’s where to do it.
