AA: When did you first decide to become a singer and performer?
KF: Music has always been my first love, so I knew it would ultimately be a part of my life. I just didn't know when I would have the opportunity.
AA: What have been some of your greatest experiences in the studio?
KF: When I was recording "Without You" and I was able to hit a falsetto high note that I didn't know I could do. I was feeling the lyrics to the song so much that I wasn't even thinking about it. You will hear it on my new EP.
AA: Tell us about being a musician in Los Angeles and do you consider living in an entertainment town to be a pro or a con for an emerging artist?
KF: It can be a challenge to get noticed with a swarm of people who has the same type of talent, but this is also let you see what you are truly made of. If you can shine with the things that is going on in this particular environment, then you are destined to thrive no matter what. Having so many talented people around also sparks amazing collaborations.
AA: What is the story behind Rollercoaster?
KF: I love to go to theme parks and ride the roller coasters. This is my way of going to a happy place even though I may be sad or stressed. I love the environment and thought why not write a song about roller coaster because life is like a roller coaster. We should all just try to enjoy the ride.
