The Swellers are out supporting their summer release “Good For Me” the band’s follow-up album to “Ups and Down-Sizing.” Since coming together in 2002, The Swellers have earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the most powerful and provocative punk bands of the modern era. True road warriors, the band has toured nearly non-stop since their inception, sharing stages with such like-minded outfits as Less Than Jake, Paramore, Anti-Flag, Motion City Soundtrack, H2), and Four Year Strong, not to mention festival tours including Vans Warped Tour, Take Action! Tour, and Europe’s influential Give It a Name Introduces Tour. Since the release of the You Me at Six’s UK 2010 Top 5 hit album “Hold Me Down”, the group has enjoyed a rush of landmark events. First was the 2010 Kerrang! Awards where they won best single, which was soon followed by their main stage debut at the Reading and Leeds festivals. You Me at Six were also recently named as Future Flames Ambassadors by Coca-Cola, a Presenting Partner of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, and will help to find inspiring young people to carry the Olympic Flame next year. This year the band was named “Best British Band” at the 2011 Kerrang! Awards. Twin Atlantic’s critically-lauded debut full-length, “Free” was recorded with Gil Norton. The album is the follow-up to the well-received debut mini-album, “Vivarium.” “Free” is currently available digitally in the U.S. and will be in stores Spring of 2012. The band recently finished a run on a sold out U.S. tour as support for AWOLNATION and Middle Class Rut and are currently back in the UK on a sold out headline trek that ends on December 12th.
