The Struts have been hand-selected by legendary rockers Guns N’ Roses to open their August 9 San Francisco show at AT&T Park. This honor follows the band having recently been chosen to support Mötley Crüe on their final four performances ever at the end of last year, as well as opening for The Killers in Arizona and The Rolling Stones in Paris. The band has also played prestigious festivals across the country this summer including BottleRock, Firefly and Lollapalooza over the weekend. Of their Lollapalooza set, the Chicagoist applauded, “Lollapalooza Day 2 Belonged To Radiohead And The Struts.” In addition, The Struts’ brand new song “Put Your Hands Up,” an original cover of Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” along with “Young Stars” and “Kiss This” off their breakout debut Everybody Wants will be featured heavily throughout the year in ESPN’s College Football programming. The band continues to receive critical acclaim for Everybody Wants. Most recently, NPR’s “Weekend Edition” hailed, “The Struts want to make rock fun again.” Listen to frontman Luke Spiller discuss the album as well as their influences and more, here: http://n.pr/2avg2Ro. The Struts will continue their worldwide tour throughout the fall including headlining dates and an appearance at Austin City Limits Festival. See http://thestruts.rtouring.com/ for details. The Struts, who formed in Derby, England in 2012, are Luke Spiller (lead vocals), Adam Slack (guitar), Jed Elliott (bass) and Gethin Davies (drums).
