Portugal. The Man has partnered with global creative agency Wieden+Kennedy to launch the interactive companion video for “Feel It Still.”

March 07, 2017

Portugal. The Man has partnered with global creative agency Wieden+Kennedy to launch the interactive companion video for “Feel It Still,” the first single from their long awaited new album. Premiered earlier today via Noisey, the visual acts as an interactive toolkit for social injustice. Watch the “Feel It Still” video here:

“We worked with so many rad people on this album, but ended up with just the four of us in a basement at 4am trying to say something that mattered. Trying to write music that would help people feel they’re not alone, even if they’re angry or feeling lost. This video is our way of saying that we’re all in this together.” – John Gourley, lead singer

Throughout the video (directed by Ian Schwartz and fourclops ::) at Prettybird), viewers are encouraged to find hidden Easter eggs designed to help #theresistance movement, including a direct dial to the White House, a video explaining the legal rights of protestors, donation sites for Planned Parenthood and the ACLU, custom-designed protest posters, and stencil kits for resistance graffiti. The video was built on the Wirewax interactive video platform.

“This project came at an interesting time where music and culture and politics are coming together in a way we haven’t seen in decades.” commented Wieden+Kennedy Creative Director, Jason Kreher. “We loved the idea of presenting the apathetic, decadent rebel just for kicks from the song against a hidden message of resistance… you know, like a ‘this is for the people out there who are still feeling something; here is a real, practical laundry list of ways you can get out there and fight injustice.’”
