Pearl Jam has revealed that the band is working on its tenth studio album.
The revelation was made by the band's manager and confirms guitarist Mike McCready's statement to the Gazeta De Povo last month, when he said: "In this moment we are in the process of composing an album, we have seven songs . . . and we'll work on the rest of them next year in March. This, no doubt, will appease many Pearl Jam enthusiasts out there."
Bassist Jeff Ament also noted that the band is ready to take on new songs after the recent reissues of their first three albums, according to Pulse of Radio.
"If every two years we were doing one of those kind of box set, you know, like a group of two records or whatever, that would be fine," he said. "But I think that with [the Cameron Crowe-produced documentary Pearl Jam: Twenty and its accompanying book] and all that stuff, I'm ready to make a new record."
