The future is uncertain for Jack White and Brendan Benson’s Raconteurs. The group played a brief run of shows this week but, according to bassist Jack Lawrence, there are no immediate plans for any new music. While speaking with Billboard.com, Lawrence said the group never looks too far into the future, but the show run could inspire them to keep the project alive. “We’re all doing other projects, still, so it’s hard to tell what’s going to happen. We never really plan anything; it just depends on what the mood is with all of us. But if it feels right, by the time we do these shows I’m sure we’ll want to do more and we’ll make some time for it.” The band played on September 14 at White’s Third Man Records in Nashville, followed by an appearance at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville the following night. They will also hit Michigan’s MI Festival on September 17.
