Davey Havok, the frotman of the band AFI, has teamed up with members of No Doubt to form a new band called Dreamcar. Havok has been joined by guitarist Tom Dumont, bass player Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young of No Doubt. The band made the announcement on Instagram, posting a photo of their logo. Dreamcar is expected to release new music sometime in 2017. It is unclear at this time what the new band means for the future of No Doubt.

No Doubt has been on hiatus while singer Gwen Stefani has shifted her focus to her solo career. She released her third solo album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, back in March.

AFI is expected to release their tenth album, AFI (The Blood Album), on January 20, 2017. The album will be the band's first since the release of Burials back in October 2013.
