Enjoying recent success with their hit "Boston," Augustana isn't taking a break from writing new music, as bassist Jared Palomar revealed to Alternative Addiction this week that the band hopes to have new album, entitled "Can’t Love, Can’t Hurt" out before the end of this year.

Although they have one of the biggest songs on radio of the past few months in “Boston,” Augustana’s album “All the Stars and Boulevards” was originally released in September of 2005 and their debut record for Epic is now almost two years old. New music is however in the works for the young band from California. We caught up with Augustana’s bassist Jared Palomar this past week in Casper, Wyoming before a show and asked him about a new album in the works. “We’ve been writing for awhile and we’ve got a lot of songs ready to go. We’re pretty proud of this stuff that’s coming out. We’re really stoked to get into the studio.” Palomar told Alternative Addiction. “We’re hoping for like May, it’s kind of looking like the only free time we’re going to have for awhile, so like May-June-ish we’re shooting to record, that’s what we’re hoping for. It’ll be called “Can’t Love, Can’t Hurt” and hopefully we’ll have it out by the end of the year.” Until mid-April, Augustana will continue to be busy. Currently they’re on tour with The Goo Goo Dolls, and that tour will run through March 24th. After that the band will get going with some headlining dates through April 14th.
