Singer/songwriter Mat Kearney has planned a US summer trek behind his forthcoming sophomore album, "City of Black & White."

The club outing begins May 9 in Los Angeles, and spans three months, stopping by 32 cities from coast to coast through a July 19 gig at Commerce City, CO's Mile High Festival. The full schedule is below.

Kearney will embark on the nationwide roadwork just a few days before the May 19 drop of "City of Black & White." The Nashville transplant, who headlined VH1's 2007 "You Oughta Know" tour behind his debut album, "Nothing Left to Lose," used influences on the road to inspire his latest studio effort.

"At its core, this record is about community--finding it and losing it," the musician stated on his website. "There's definitely the theme of this traveling/sojourner/vagabond kind of guy landing in the midst of people that he loves and who love him."

Kearney began his musical career as a Christian artist, but crossed over to mainstream markets with his hit single "Nothing Left to Lose" from the album of the same name.  "Closer to Love," the lead single from the impending release, is currently the #1 song on Alternative Addiction's Top 20.
