Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has released the third track from his upcoming sophomore album, Why Me? Why Not. Titled “Once,” the unexpectedly soulful melody explores the ephemeral nature of youth, as the 46-year-old singer sings, “It was easier to have fun back when we had nothing/ Nothing much to manage/ Back when we were damaged/ Sometimes the freedom we wanted feels so uncool” over an acoustic guitar. The song will also be featured in As It Was, a musical documentary revolving around Gallagher’s descent into a “wilderness of booze and legal battles, before making an attempt to stage the greatest comeback in rock history.” The follow-up to his 2017 debut album, As You Were, the forthcoming collection is set to be released on September 20 via Warner Bros. Records. Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com. All Rights Reserved
