Foster The People's hit single "Pumped Up Kicks" has supplanted Foo Fighter's "Rope" as the number one song on the Billboard Alternative Rock Chart, which was released earlier this week.  The top five spots on the chart were rounded out by Death Cab For Cutie's "You Are A Tourist" at number three, Incubus' "Adolescents" at number four and Sublime With Rome's "Panic" at number five.

The group is currently touring, with a show in Montreal on Friday night and further shows in Toronto, Brooklyn and Washington D.C. before playing a series of shows in Europe and returning to the U.S. for a June 28 show in Philadelphia and further shows in North America through October 15, when the tour wraps up in Los Angeles.

Foster The People debuted on Alternative Addiction in late 2010, and was selected in January as one of 11 bands to watch in 2011.
