During the last date of their “Concrete And Gold” tour in St. Paul Minnesota on Thursday, October 18, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl noticed a 10-year-old fan in the crowd, who appeared to be blind.
Pausing in the middle of a song, Grohl requested the boy, Owen, and his parents to be escorted and seated onstage for the rest of the concert, exclaiming, “It’s a family occasion!”
Grohl frequently went to Owen’s side and offered him an immersive experience by allowing him to touch and strum his guitar.
“Dave Grohl and all of the crew were incredibly kind to our family,” wrote Owen’s mom, Stacey Anderson in a post to Facebook. She also revealed that in addition to being blind, Owen also suffers from autism, Crohn’s Disease and several developmental disabilities.
“Owen loves concerts so much…he likes to be held up front at most shows and we take turns holdiyhim up so he can dance,” she added.
