Eric Hutchinson will perform at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, where he will premiere his new single "Best Days," from his upcoming album "Moving Up, Living Down."

Eric Hutchinson will perform in the live broadcast of the 84th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade from New York City, where he will premiere his new single “Best Days,” from his upcoming album “Moving Up, Living Down.” Riding aboard the Parade’s first float, The Food Network’s Tom Turkey, the Warner Bros. Records artist will be performing during the parade which is also set to feature Kanye West and India Arie. Moving Up, Living Down – which will be released in spring of 2011 – is the follow up to Hutchinson’s breakthrough debut, Sounds Like This. He recorded the new album with Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Eminem, Regina Spektor) in California and Martin Terefe (James Morrison, Jason Mraz) in London, but wrote most of the songs for it in New York City. “I did 500 shows for Sounds Like This, and it gave me a ton of ideas for new material and what I wanted to do on the next record,” recalls Eric. “I got a new writing space in New York City and I would hole up there writing nonstop during the week, then play the new songs live on the weekend. If they felt right, they made the cut.” Following his performance at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the single expected to debut on Hutchinson’s MySpace page at: http://www.myspace.com/erichutchinson
