El Camino, the seventh studio release from the Black Keys, reigns supreme on Billboard charts this week, claiming the top spot on both the Rock and Alternative Albums charts. The new album, which sold over 200,000 copies in its first week of release, claimed the top honor by edging out Nickelback’s Here and Now, She & Him’s A Very She & Him Christmas and Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto. Metallica’s Beyond Magnetic EP came in fifth on the Alternative chart, while Daughtry’s Break the Spell took fifth place on the Rock Albums chart. El Camino was produced by Danger Mouse and features the number one single “Lonely Boy.” The album is the follow-up to the Black Keys’ 2010 release Brothers, which won three Grammy Awards and is certified Gold.
