Audioslave will begin a five-week North American tour April 14 in Las Vegas. The quartet of former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell and former Rage Against The Machine principals Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford will be out behind its new album, “Out of Exile,” due in May on Interscope Records. Opening on the tour will singer/songwriter Jonny Polonsky, who last year released his first album since 1996, “The Power of Sound.” Audioslave has already confirmed a six-week summer European tour in support of the new album, beginning May 29 at Lisbon’s Super Rock festival.
