AA Indie Song of the Day - Norwood - "Lizzy White Doesn't Give a F___"

Image

The Indie Song of the Day comes from Norwood - an acoustic rock band from Queens, NY.

The Indie Song of the Day comes from Norwood - an acoustic rock band from Queens, NY. The band is led by Chris Sayre. The group has a new album out now called Lizzy White Doesn't Give a F$@*.

First with Norwood, Chris calls it acoustic rock because:

I say Acoustic Rock because it's the most straight-forward way to describe what we do. Everyone calls it something different - Punk/Folk, Folk/Rock, IndieFolk, Rock/Pop/Punk/Folk."

Norwood's new album is a concept album about a moment in the life of a woman named Lizzy White. Chris says:

"Lizzy started out as a voice in my head that just started writing songs one day. She was better at it than I was, so I just got out of her way and this album is what came of that trust. Not every song is from her point of view, but the songs span most of her lifetime, from high school to her deathbed."

Listen to the song below, and be sure to check out the album. To say the very least it's a compelling listen.
