The Indie Song of the Day for this Friday comes from Jeremy Tuplin, a singer/songwriter from Somerset, in the UK. The song is called simply, “Albert Einstein Song” and it comes from Jeremy’s new album I Dreamt I Was an Astronaut. BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson had this to say about Tuplin, “unconventional, conversational, and intimate.” Tuplin’s new album combines electronics and synths with traditional folk songs for a ‘retro-futuristic feel’ branching into a seemingly new territory of music. Tuplin makes folk music in an extraordinary manner. Folk songs mixed with synth rhythms, a lot of atmosphere, and science fiction isn’t the first thing you’re expecting to hear when you’re listening to anything these days.
