Band/Artist Sign Up Page

How it works:
Alternative Addiction's Next Big Thing is a monthly contest page where eight bands are featured and fans are encouraged to chose which band/artist they like most.  Your feature will seen by over 5,000 people every day.  That's 5,000 music loving fans, music industry insiders, A&R Reps, or any other music enthusiasts that regularly surf the pages of Alternative Addiction.

After two weeks, the contest will feature only the top four band with the most votes.  After three weeks only the top two bands will be featured.  At the conclusion of the month the winning band will be featured as "Indie Spotlight Band of the Month" for the following month, one of the most popular sections on the website.

What does it cost?
We offer this feature completely FREE of charge to any band/artist that wants to have their music featured.

Every band that enters must agree to the following requirements:

• Every Band/Artist must provide a link to their MySpace page, and must post a small banner provided by Alternative Addiction for the duration of the time they are featured in the contest.  Fans will only be able to vote in the contest directly from clicking on this banner.
   

• Every Band/Artist must upload a picture of the band.  This should be a photograph of the band only, band album cover art or graphics/logos do not constitute a picture and are not allowed.  Cartoons or artists depictions of bands will not be accepted either.  Alternative Addiction reserves the right to resize/crop any image submitted due to space constraints.
   

• In order to be considered for this feature, you MUST upload a song in MP3 format when prompted during the set up process.  The song MUST be a studio recording, sorry no live recordings allowed.
   

• No pictures or images will be allowed that contain nudity or sexual graphics that could be considered otherwise offensive.
   

• All songs uploaded should contain lyrics in English, and the bio submitted should also be in English.
   

• Alternative Addiction will not provide or share any voting regarding the voters or the number of votes acquired by each participating band.  Bands will not be provided updates on the status of the contest from Alternative Addiction staff members.  The band will have sole responsibility to frequently check the contest to view their status.
