Aussie band Down For Tomorrow have an awesome sound and their new EP, a short three song affair called Until You Feel Alright exemplifies that. The band has a pop rock/grunge sound that fits alongside of pretty much anything that comes close to the alternative genre while maintaining its own essence as something original.
The best part about Down For Tomorrow is their sound. There's not a lot of polish here - it's all about organic rock music. Vocalist Cody Stebbings wails throughout these songs. It's awesome. It's harsh and it really pushes through a lot of emotion. On top of that, the guitars on these three songs... nobody puts out music like this anymore, nobody records guitars like this anymore. It's a throwback to a different era of music and it works on all three of these tracks.
The musicianship is great, the songs are great, and the band is awesome. Down For Tomorrow's Until You Feel Alright should put this Aussie band on your radar of great new music.
