2012 is here and it's time to preview our new music for this
year and make our bold predictions for bands and artists set to succeed
this year. Previous alums of this feature include Trevor Hall, SafetySuit,

Ordinance, Young the Giant, The Naked and Famous, He Is We, Middle Class
Rut, The Downtown Fiction, I Fight Dragons, and Foster the People. Who'll Come Through This Year?
Walk the Moon Cincinnati, Ohio band Walk The Moon is
looking to release their major label debut in 2012. Already set to
open for one of last year's most popular Addiction Predictions in
the early part of 2012, this band could be this year's version of
Foster The People. Check out "Anna Sun"
Gotye An Australian star with a Belgian name.
Wally De Backer, better known as Gotye, blew up down under in 2011
with his track "Somebody That I Used To Know". The song's video has
garnered 20 million views and that will only increase in 2012 when
Gotye looks to conquer the rest of the world.
Imagine Dragons
Looking to be the next band to emerge out of Las Vegas, Imagine
Dragons looks to match the success of Sin City predecessors The
Killers & Panic! At The Disco. Recently signed to Interscope, the
band should see their first major label release in 2012. Listen to

Lana Del Rey
Singer/songwriter Lana Del Rey has been generating
her fair share of buzz worldwide ahead of her major label debut due
out January 30. Check out "Born To Die".
The Rouge Nashville rockers The Rouge look to
release their long-awaited major label debut in 2012 on Atlantic
Records. Get a taste here with "Lady Luck"
Of Monsters and Men This Icelandic band draws a lot of
comparisons to indie darlings Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and
for good reason. Check out "Little Talks"
Swiss Lips Not much seems to be known about this
young UK-based band, but there's mystery to how catchy their songs
are. Check out the buzz track "U GOT THE POWER"
Dry the River These UK folk-rockers are garnering their
fair share of hype and look to match the success of fellow London
band Mumford & Sons. Listen to "Weight & Measures"
Taylor Thrash This Texas-based singer-songwriter made waves
with a self-titled released EP back in 2010. Since then PureVolume, FaceBook, MySpace, and Twitter blew up for Taylor Thrash and he’s
sure to keep the trend going in 2012 with his debut full-length
album. Check out "Losing My Mind."
Ambassadors This soulful, Brooklyn, New York-based 4-piece is
still unsigned, but they're also too talented to leave off this
list. Listen to "Falls" here and I highly recommend checking out the

fun. You might already be familiar with fun. &
their frontman Nate Ruess (formerly of The Format). The band is
prepping to release their sophomore album "Some Nights" on February
21 and their lead single "We Are Young" is set to take them to the
next level. Emmy-award winning show "Glee" has already covered the
song too...
Cris Cab Don’t look now but reggae music is making a
mini-comeback into the masses. First California-based Rebelution put
out a quality album earlier this year. And now youngster Cris Cab
attempts to mix the genre with steady amounts of pop. Look for this
kid to have a big year in 2012 and listen to
IAMDYNAMITE Michigan-based duo IAMDYNAMITE
spent much of 2011 opening for Alternative Addiction favorites Blue
October. Their song "Stereo" has started to turn heads at radio and
