Who Are They?
Rubyhorse was formed by a group of childhood friends who
formed a band in Ireland. After touring Ireland for several
years, the band decided that their best shot at success was in
America and left for Boston, Massachusetts, in 1997.
In just one year in Boston, the band
won three Boston Music Awards and signed an ill-fated deal with
Interscope Records where they would never release a record.
After independently releasing "How Far Have You Come?" in 2000, the
band signed with Island Records in 2001 and released the stunning
"Rise" in 2002.
Height of
Popularity
The band's biggest song was their hit single "Sparkle" from
the album "Rise" that was featured in several commercials including
an ad for the Stanley Cup Finals. The song peaked at number 12
on the Billboard charts.
Where Are They
Now?
After releasing Goodbye To All That in 2003, the band
announced the departure of original member Owen Fegan, and decided
to split up shortly after.
