Kyle Cook would of course be recruited by Rob Thomas when forming Matchbox Twenty and go on to sell millions of records, pack arenas, and tour around the world. Even after all his success, Cook is still insists that he had something special with first band, "I always knew that we had found something special in each other." Perhaps that's why after all his success with Matchbox Twenty he can't resist the opportunity to join back up with his old friends during Matchbox Twenty's current hiatus. The band recently released their debut EP, a gritty, edgy rock album that in no way resembles the melodic tones of Matchbox Twenty, but instead stands on its own two feet with a unique refreshing feel. The bands first single "Overboard" is a strong example of the band's sound, and from the looks of it seems to be well received among listeners. In just its second week on the Alternative Addiction Top 20, the song has jumped seven spaces to number 13 on the chart.
