If you love pop punk then you will love You Me at Six. The band’s album “Hold Me Down” can be compared straight across against any pop punk album to come out this year and be declared as the better piece of music. It’s got a ton of variety to it. It’s unpredictable. The vocals are amazing. The melodies on tracks like “Fireworks” and “Underdog” are ridiculously good. Really there’s not a weak song on the album. The only slight problem is the typical dilemma with all bands in the genre. Everybody uses the same production and the same ideas so nobody really brings anything new to the table. Genre issues aside, if you’re a fan of pop punk then you’ll be a fan of You Me at Six and this album will be one that you’ll listen to over and over.
