Taking Back Sunday is another band that has always managed to grow from album to album and sound better with each album. “New Again” is no exception for the band. While on the first listen you notice that the album is decidedly more pop than previous releases, the elements of old TBS songs and the new style of pop songs grows more and more appealing to the listener. There are a few misses along the way, but for the most part this is 11 tracks of awesomeness. New guitarist Matt Fazzi apparently changed the way the band wrote songs as well trying to leave his impression on the band and apparently has with a catchier album that has more elements of pop to it than TBS has ever had. While fans who have been there for the beginning won’t appreciate this entire album, lots of fans that have hopped on since the Victory Records days will dig the record.
