Paramore’s “The Final Riot!” is the sendoff for the breakout record of 2007. There’s not a band out there that made a bigger impression than Paramore did with “Riot!” The world became awestruck with the band and Hayley Williams in particular. After listening through this live set and watching the concert on the DVD it’s easy to see why. The whole band has a charisma to them live- they’re going like crazy the entire time and they put on a hell of a show. Hayley keeps the crowd in her pocket the throughout the performance and her band backs her aptly. As for the “The Final Riot!”, it’s a CD/DVD combo. On the CD you get a live album, pretty standard, but it’s 15 tracks long and most of it is pretty impressive. The overall mastering is notable and the performance was striking too. As far as the DVD goes; die-fans will like the biography/concert format of the main feature on the DVD but they separated them into two different features on the disc, which was smart because some of the bio stuff is hard to watch and sometimes you just want to see the live show. Paramore’s “The Final Riot!” is a fitting sendoff for an album cycle that went extremely well. Fans of the band will love it, and fans of music will want to see this band’s live performance on screen if they’re unable to get to a venue to enjoy it.
