Milwaukee outfit The Gufs had a great deal going for them after releasing 2 albums on Atlantic records during the mid-nineties. However, after building an extraordinarily large and loyal following The Gufs disbanded in 2002 much to the disappointment of the faithful. The good news is that the heart of the band and the main songwriter Goran Kralj remains and has continued to write, perform and record. ‘A.D.N’ is his first solo album and continues the theme of high-class pop rock purveyed by his former outfit. Although a little more personal, there’s still no denying the honeyed vocals and catchy melodies still raise the neck hairs on the opener ‘To Be Me’, the alt-AOR of ‘Don’t Look Back’ or any one of the other sugar sweet offerings, making Goran comparable in ability and content to 80’s icon Richard Marx
