Disturbed has been one of the few metal bands to come out with great album after great album. There’s nothing real secretive to what they do well… to them or to their fans. Their melody riffs always resemble each other; Disturbed is one of the few bands that you can hear a song without vocals, just instrumentation, and be able to identify it as a ‘Disturbed’ song. Those riffs make the music, but David Draiman’s voice is what makes the band successful. His uniquely swirling & angry voice puts Disturbed miles ahead of every metal band in this decade. This latest effort by the Chicago metal heroes “Indestructible” is the best of the band’s four full-length albums. It’s consistent throughout and has a ton of Active/Mainstream rock singles on it with my personal potential favorites being “Haunted and “Enough.” Nothing amazing is done by Disturbed on this album, but they smartly just stay the course and keep making their own style of music that’s pretty outstanding. It’s pretty easy to claim Disturbed as the best metal band going right now, even if the genre is a little weak at this particular point in time. Fans of metal and hard rock will love this like every other piece of Disturbed music, if you’re a fan of the genre and haven’t hopped on the bandwagon yet, now is as good of a time to jump on as any.
