We Are Only What We Feel
NoNoNo

Nottingham (UK) quintet Headway should be immediately added to your list of breakthrough bands during 2008/2009. There’s enough hooky indie know how on this short release to suggest that the record labels should be forming an orderly queue. Falsely compared to Coldplay-the sound is far more American and far more upbeat-the band disguise their tender years with flawless musicianship and depth of song writing. The gorgeous lilting hook of ‘Safety’ or the harmony laden ‘Always the Same’ hint at Stateside bands like The Spill Canvas and whilst it’ll be a long hard slog to reach the upper echelons of the major label bands, clearly Headway have appealing traits that should serve them well on both sides of the Atlantic.
