Parade of Lights
The Take Off and Landing of Everything
The new Dylan anthology came out earlier this month in two different versions; a 3 disc collection of 48 songs spanning Dylan’s career that runs about $40.00 retail and the version we’re reviewing, an 18 song disc that doesn’t hit on all of the highs in Dylan’s career but that does hit on all of the very-highs in his career. The disc runs about $12.00 retail. Everyone should own a Dylan collection of some kind, this is the latest anthology to come out and if you don’t have forty bucks to dish out and you’d rather take a cheaper route, this is the way to go. All of the Dylan super classics are here in 18 tracks including “Blowin’ in the Wind”, “Mr. Tambourine Man”, “Like a Rolling Stone”, “Forever Young”, “Maggie’s Farm”, and “Hurricane.” If you don’t have a Dylan collection, you’re just a casual listener, or you’ve never tapped into a lot of classics, this a collection you’ve got to have. Dylan fans should have the 3 disc set, but if you’re not that into him this is a great collection that everyone should own.
