I Love You.

I thought that this was just another young mod band that got luck and landed a record deal. Boy was I wrong. This album is awesome. Definitely has to be another one of my picks from April. These guys are a lot like Shiny Toy Guns; they’ve got an 80’s type vibe to them except they don’t have dual vocalists. These guys are area rock from the 80’s that’s brand new in 2007. I enjoyed “The Burning Hour” immensely. From track 1 through track 13 almost everything here is great. You know those bands that always have “a young U2” in their bio, this is different because these guys actually sound like a young U2. Most of the tracks are great. In particular the first four, “I’m Not Sorry” is the perfect way to start the album, and it runs directly into “Pieces of the Sun” and “Thinking of You” and then they finish the run with “New Year”, a song that has to be several fans favorite on the album. There are a couple of bad songs; especially “Black Hearts” that one made me cringe a bit. But other than the occasional skip this is something you can listen through. This is a pretty good album from a good band. These kids are all in the 19-22 range and they have the potential to be huge. “The Burning Hour” is just a big flashing sign of things to come. Look for these guys to start getting some mainstream radio play this summer.
