There must be something in the water in Canada, and in particular the Vancouver area, with so many promising young bands turning up who want to play intelligent rock music. Time then for another one to take the spotlight; 2006 Fox Seeds winners Fully Loaded.
Following closely in the footsteps of other modern rock outfits American Radio and the recently defunct Idle Sons-at least from a musical standpoint-Fully Loaded show enough melody and abrasive edge on opener ‘It’s Alright’ or ‘When Will It End’ to suggest that the debut album should be something of a gem. Further highlights appear in the form of the unpretentious rockers ‘The Way You’re Talking’ and the uncomplicated ‘Screamin For Ya’ and although only six tracks long this e.p is crammed with quality from start to finish. With no filler whatsoever clearly it’s fully loaded by name and fully loaded by nature.
