First appearing on the Spiderman soundtrack last summer, Bleu caught us all by surprise with his song "Somebody Else" A year and a half later, we finally get to hear his full length release "Redhead" From the impressive opening track "Get Up" to the cleverly written "I Won't Go Hollywood" and "That's when I Crash" the record hooks the listener in right off the bat. The album show incredible maturity and variety for a debut album, from the upbeat "Could Be Worse" to the heartfelt "Searchin' For the Satellites" the album covers the musical spectrum, and does it very well. Perhaps the best song on the album, is the hauntingly beautiful "Watching You Sleep" which might even rival The Police for one of the best stalker songs ever written. Also noteworthy is the hidden track "Feet Don't Fail Me" which is a long time Bleu fan favorite. When its all said and done, Bleu's "Redhead" might be one of the most overlooked albums of 2003.
