Follow up to ‘From One’ sees Ra take their unique brand of alternative rock to a new level. The first album, a re-release of the earlier independent effort, sold well on the back of ‘Do You Call My Name’, but was an altogether less commercial affair. Drawing favourable comparisons from anyone to Queensryche, The Police-Ticotin’s voice is a doppelganger for Sting-through to the progressive rock dinosaurs Yes and Gabriel era Genesis, Ra never lose their ear for a catchy hook or a layered harmony. All wrapped up in a concept flavoured eastern mystique-fear changing to hope- and with quality songs like the U2 tinged ‘The Only One’ or the stadium rock of ‘Say You Will or opener ‘Fallen Angels’ Ra have produced an album that is one of the years highlights thus far.
