Nothing is definite but it’s somewhat apparent that 30 Seconds to Mars are inching closer and closer to ‘indefinite hiatus’ status. Of course that’s a shame but after such a grueling regimen with “This is War” and the album before that… a long break was expected to some extent. You can’t really predict anything the band is going to do, but at the moment that’s where things appear to be heading. I wouldn’t say this EP is a good send off, because something more elaborate would be in order for that. But it’s a stark reminder how brilliant the band is. This four song EP taken from the MTV Unplugged special is a must for anyone who likes 30STM. The final product has been touched up perfectly and the four songs on the EP are the perfect selections. The cover of “Where the Streets Have No Name” and the acoustic version of “Kings and Queens” are both chilling and the EP is a quick but enjoyable listen. It would have been nice to get a few more songs, but these four songs are still top notch and worth paying for a download on iTunes.
