Everfine/Lava/Atlantic recording group O.A.R. has announced details of its upcoming winter tour. The January 2007 concert dates will culminate in a much-anticipated return to New York's world-famous Madison Square Garden, a venue the band sold out earlier this year. O.A.R.'s winter trek will kick off on Thursday, January 18th at Cincinnati's US Bank Arena, then hit the road for shows in Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Virginia (see attached itinerary). The tour, which will also feature support act Gomez, will conclude in New York City on Saturday, January 27th. Tickets for all dates will go on sale December 2nd.
The Maryland-via-Ohio-based band - which recently reached a milestone moment in their extraordinary career, achieving cumulative record sales in excess of 1.2 million - has also unveiled details of "HEARD THE WORLD," an all-new iTunes-exclusive EP. Set for release on November 21st, the EP features four previously unreleased tracks: a radio edit of the Hot AC hit title track - originally found on 2005's "STORIES OF A STRANGER" - as well as an acoustic take on the top 20 Hot AC smash, "Love and Memories," a demo version of "Lay Down," and a live rendition of "Heard The World," recorded at New York's Nokia Theatre last October. Fans can purchase the EP on iTunes by clicking here.
In other O.A.R. news, the band's companion video clip for "Lay Down" has just been honored with the "Streaming Woodie" - presented to the year's Most Downloaded Video - at this year's mtvU Woodie Awards.
