Veteran modern rock act Live has signed with Epic after ending its decade-plus association with Radioactive/MCA. The group's manager, Chris Hardin, says a new album, "Songs From Black Mountain," will be released in mid-November. First single "The River" will debut on Alternative Addiction in the next few weeks.

Several new cuts have made the rounds in recent live shows, including "Mystery," "Love Shines" and "Sofia." The new set will be the follow-up to 2003's "Birds of Pray," which has sold 273,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

A world tour will follow the release of "Songs From Black Mountain," details of which Hardin says are still coming together. Beforehand, Live has a handful of shows on tap, including Aug. 27 in Phoenix following a game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Philadelphia Phillies.  The group will also play Sept. 17 at Los Angeles radio station KROQ's Inland Invasion 5, alongside Beck, Weezer, Oasis and 311, among others.
