Blink-182 have confirmed that they will soon enter the studio and begin work on a new release. Tom DeLonge broke news of the recording plans via Instagram, where he posted an image of the band together in a studio.

Along with the post he noted that they are currently in rehearsals for their forthcoming tour, which will include sets at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the U.K. as well as a stop at the O2 in London. DeLonge wrote in the post:

"Rehearsals start today," DeLonge said in the caption. "And yes there will be a new album. Sorry for the wait."

The band's most recent studio release was a 2012 EP titled Dogs Eating Dogs.
