Foo Fighters fans in Richmond, Virginia have created the campaign to get the band to perform a hometown concert for the first time in over 15 years.

The 'Help Bring The Foo Fighters Back To RVA' campaign, launched on crowdfunding site Crowdhoster, says "It's simple. The Foo Fighters haven't played Richmond, Virginia since May 17, 1998. That's more than 15 years ago and that's way too long. So we're taking it upon ourselves to bring 'em back!"

The campaign in selling 1,400 show tickets for $50.

"We're just a few friends and fans looking to make this happen... Came up with the idea and thought it would be a blast to try," co-founder of the campaign Andrew Goldin told SPIN. "The band seems to have so much fun with themselves that we really think it may happen. We have reason to believe they know about it at this point. We haven't been shut down, so that's a good sign, right?"
