Chris Pearson and Sleeperstar have a new album incoming - tentatively set for a June release date this year. The album will be called Lost Machines. They just released a brand new song called "Lost Without You" leading up to the album. Last week, Chris Pearson took the time away from his busy day to talk with AA about the track.
"We cut that in Nashville with Dustin Burnett," started the always animated Pearson. "It's funny, it was one of those that initially - I wasn't really feeling. Nick and Jake did most of the leg work on the song. It made it's way to the final list and we cut a version of it. When we went back - even when we were done with the album - I wasn't totally keen on it. After we let the album sit for a month or so and Dustin finished all of his post-production work, we all got together and listened to everything and it was one of my favorite songs that we had ever done."
As for the song itself, Pearson's not going to let the meaning behind the track out, but he did say that it definitely means something to the group.
"It's pretty near and dear to us. I'll keep the back story a mystery but the song means a lot to us. We're fired up about it and about this new album. It's been so long in the making and it's good to know that we're making progress towards getting this thing out there," added Pearson.
Right now you can download Sleeperstar's "Lost Without You" as a name-your-own-price song on NoiseTrade. You can get the song there, and you can vote for it on this week's Top 20 list here.
