Wolfmother have made a surprising return this month, releasing a previously unannounced new album. The album, titled New Crown, is the band's third studio release and follows their 2009 effort Cosmic Egg.

They offered up the album online on March 24 and it may come as shock to some fans after frontman Andrew Stockdale previously said that he would no longer be performing under the name Wolfmother:

"For the last three years I've performed as Wolfmother, and I don't feel comfortable about it. Chris Ross, who played bass and keys in the first line-up when we started, he came up with that band name. That name was for me, Chris and [drummer] Myles Heskett. It became Wolfmother. Because of the success of the name, there was pressure then to call yourself Wolfmother. But it felt weird."

Tracks: 'How Many Times' 'Enemy Is In Your Mind' 'Heavy Weight' 'New Crown' 'Tall Ships' 'Feelings' 'I Ain't Got No' 'She Got It ' 'My Tangerine Dream' 'Radio' Copyright(c) 2014 RTTNews.com. All Rights Reserved
