Seether are almost done recording new tracks for their upcoming album.
Vocalist Shaun Morgan explained that the band is intent on being selective and including only their best material on the new album, telling Billboard:
"We're recording 12 [songs] but I think we're gonna do an album of 10 tracks this time. We wanted to consolidate it down and make sure it was 10 really strong songs from start to finish and there's nothing on the album that feels like filler. We're putting a lot of work into this and a lot of thought into everything."
Seether will be returning to the stage as headliners when they hold their second Rise Above Fest, which will include performances by Motorhead, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Stone Cherry, Trivium and Skindred. The festival, which will be held on May 10 in Bangor (ME), benefits the Suicide Awareness Voices of Education organization.
The band's last album, Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray, was released in 2011.
