Kings Of Leon have been announced as the headliners for Belgium's Rock Werchter festival in July.

KOL are no strangers to the Belgian fest, as their 2014 appearance will be their sixth appearance there in eight years. Last year, they served as direct support for headlining act Blur and headlined themselves in 2011.

The Kings join previously announced headliners Arctic Monkeys and Metallica, and their performance will close the last night of the four-day event. Other confirmed acts include Black Keys, Placebo, Franz Ferdinand, Major Lazer and the Pixies.

The band appears the event so often that frontman Caleb Followill told the crowd last year: "There is no festival we've played more.

The Rock Werchter festival takes place at Werchter in Leaven between July 4 and 7.
