Dave Rowntree, drummer for Blur, has got his own one hour show on Global Radio's XFM. The program, broadcast across the U.K. every Thursday from 9-10 PM, features Rowntree rifling through his personal record collection to bring music lovers a selection of beloved classics and deep cuts.

"I'm incredibly excited at the prospect of having my own show on Xfm," said Rowntree of the appointment.

"The station is known for its quality music and comedy, and for gambling its future on untried, untrusted and usually unwashed presenters. I'm genuinely humbled to be part of that tradition.”

Dave will also share stories of his long career during the program.

“Dave has pretty much seen, done and won everything when it comes to music. In addition to this, he's a natural born presenter who I'm sure will become a firm favourite with the Xfm audience by the end of his first link," XFM Managing Editor Chris Baughen said.
